On May 23, 2014, River Metals Recycling (RMR) Newport hosted the Cincinnati Fire and EMS Heavy Rescue members of the task force called the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). RMR Newport provided a few automobiles and a school bus for Jaws of Life training.
Over two dozen Fire Department members participated in the training. Newport was pleased to provide both space and vehicles which helped the firefighters practice. RMR hopes this effort will result in lives saved.This donation to the firefighters is just another example of RMR’s commitment to do the right thing and give back to the communities in which we do business.
